Mrs. Diana Aleshire, Preschool Administrator

Mrs. Aleshire started out at GCA teaching Kindergarten in 2000, the first year the school was open. Before that she worked in the Columbus Public School System. She is a member of Genoa Church. After 18 years of Youth Ministry, she and her husband have changed gears and now teach fourth-grade Sunday School. She is involved in the Stitches of Love, making afghans for friends in nursing homes. She is involved in the Troop Ministry, collecting items and making cards to send to the troops and in the Bread ministry, taking bread to visitors of the church. 

Her favorite verses are Proverbs 3: 5&6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
 
Mrs. Aleshire's hobbies include spending time with family and friends, going to B & B’s with her husband, crocheting, and thrifting.

Mrs. Vicki Hankins 

Mrs. Hankins is an aide in the Pre-K 4-year-old class and the Pre-K 5-year-old class this year. This is her fifth year. She and her husband, Jeff have two children that both attend GCA. One is in fifth grade and one is in first grade. Her family attends Genoa Church. Mrs. Hankins attended Capital Wytheville Community College.  She loves photography, drawing, shopping and traveling.


Mrs. Colleen Hoffman 

Colleen teaches the Pre-Kindergarten 5-year-old class.  She is known as “Miss Colleen” to her students.  This is Colleen's second year at GCA. She did her undergraduate and post-graduate work at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.  Her master's degree is in education. She has been blessed to have been an educator in the states of Indiana and California at the elementary, middle and high school levels. This is Colleen’s second year as an educator in Ohio and second year working with preschoolers. Colleen is happily married to her wonderful husband, Jay. They have three daughters attending GCA.


Mrs. Becky Pyles 

Mrs. Pyles is one of the teachers for the Pre-K 4-year-old classes. This is her fourth year at GCA and just loves it. She has lived in Columbus most of her life except for a few years in Endicott, New York where she taught in a Montessori School for four years. Mrs. Pyles attended Judson College.  She has three grown children and is the very proud Nana to her one-year-old granddaughter. She attends the Karl Road Baptist church and loves to travel, read and shop.


Mrs. Kathy Smith

Kathy Smith teaches one of the Pre-K 4-year-old classes. She has been teaching at the GCA preschool for nine years. She has been married to Todd for 18 years and has a 15-year-old daughter who attended GCA for 8 years. She is currently taking classes through Vanguard University in Early Child Education. Her family has been members of the Genoa Church for 14 years. They enjoy going out to eat and to the movies, and traveling. 

 


Mrs. Holly Wilson 

Miss Holly is in her fifth year of teaching at Genoa Christian Academy and is currently teaching a 3-year-old preschool class and is an aide with 4-year-olds.  She loves working with the children and watching them grow, and enjoys working with all the teachers. In addition to teaching, Miss Holly also operates her own silk floral business, and is a member of the Vineyard Church of Columbus. Miss Holly is originally from Huntington, WV and currently resides in Sunbury.  She attended Ashland College. Miss Holly has been married for nine years and has a son and a daughter, who previously attended GCA.


Mrs. Pam Wolfe 

Pam has been teaching at GCA for six years and currently teaches 3-year-old preschool, aides 4-year-old preschool, and aides in the first-grade class. Pam attended Gammon University.  She has four children at GCA. Pam has been a Christian for 21 years and loves to pray for and with people. She says, "Life is hard and God is good! Don't get the two mixed up!"


Mrs. Chrys Zinnecker 

Chrys Zinnecker has been at GCA for four years, She teaches the four-year-old pre-K classes. She and her husband have three daughters, two of which attend GCA. Chrys attended Bowling Green State University.  Chrys is a sales director for Mary Kay and she and her family enjoy boating on Lake Erie. Her motto is "God is good all the time."
