How to Apply

Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are pleased and thankful that you have chosen to request enrollment information from Genoa Christian Academy.  Every student at GCA is important to us.  If you have any questions after reading the following materials, please contact our school office at 740-965-5433 and they will be happy to help you.

We encourage anyone interested in our school to schedule a tour of the school.  You may also want to sit in on a class to observe.  You can arrange either of these visits by calling the school office.

New Student Application Procedures

1. Complete, sign and return all application forms to Lisa Ann Simpson, Registrar.  GCA begins accepting applications from new families any time during the year.  GCA will begin processing applications on March 1.  Both parents or legal guardians must sign the Application Form.

2. The $50.00 Application Fee must be paid at the time the Application Forms are submitted for enrollment.  The Application Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

3. All students entering GCA’s Kindergarten program for the 2011-2012 school year must be five years old by August 31. (Note: Kindergarten students who attended GCA’s Preschool Program are considered current students to the Academy and the re-enrollment fee applies.)

4. A copy of the student’s birth certificate and current immunizations must be submitted with their application (see Application Requirements Checklist included in the Application Package).  Official school records will be requested from their last school attended (where applicable).

5. All new students are required to take an assessment test prior to completion of the admissions process.  When all the required forms for application have been received, GCA will contact the family who has applied in order to schedule an assessment for the student. A $150.00 Registration Fee is due before the time of the assessment.  Failure to do so will result in a delay in scheduling the assessment.

6. Families will be notified of acceptance within 10 business days following the assessment.

7. Following notification of acceptance, the new family has five business days to contact the Registrar in order to complete the registration process.

8. All of the required fees as set forth in the Tuition & Fee Schedule and all of the registration process materials must be received for a student to be considered enrolled.

9. Enrollment for each student is for one year only and not continuous.  Each student must register for re-enrollment each school year.

10. A waiting list is established for qualified students after all openings are filled.
