Mark Kannenwischer, Athletic Director

Thank you for taking the time to look at the GCA athletic webpage. My name is Mark Kannenwischer and I am the Athletic Director at Genoa. If you are a new student, are thinking of attending Genoa, or a parent who wants to know more, I welcome you to this page and would like to give you some insight to the athletic program at GCA.

Genoa Christian Academy was founded in 2000 and has always maintained a strong commitment to Christian-based education. In 2001, GCA established our athletic program when it introduced coed soccer, girls’ volleyball, girls’ basketball, and boys’ basketball for extra-curricular participation and is inclusive of the home school community.

In 2006, GCA joined the Central Ohio Athletic League, or COAL. COAL is comprised of nine Christian and non-Christian schools in the Central Ohio Region. In 2007, the girl’s volleyball team acheived honors by finishing the league regular season undefeated.
