GCA Athletics

Welcome to Genoa Christian Academy, home of the Lions.  Through participation in athletics, our goal is to develop Christian character in our student athletes.  As a member of an athletic team, student athletes will learn to be better communicators and goal setters and will be challenged to develop a strong work ethic.  The importance of commitment to team, perseverance through adversity, as well as good sportsmanship are also developed throughout our program.  Our athletic program offers many opportunities to teach life lessons that are not always available in the academic  classroom.  Our heart’s desire for our coaches is to model Christ-like living, love our student athletes, coach in a positive, enthusiastic manner and work to make a difference in each students athletic life.

GCA Athletic Teams

We are Affiliated with the Central Ohio Athletic League (COAL). The COAL is a league comprised of Christian and non-Christian schools. GCA joined the COAL in 2006. GCA sport teams have earned several league championships during this time. Also our teams participate in the Ohio Christian School Athletic Association (OCSAA) state tournaments. During the 2010-2011 season our girls basketball team earned the OCSAA state runner-up crown. And our boys basketball team earned the OCSAA state champions crown.

Girls Basketball: 6th-8th grade

Spring Sports

Track and Field: 6th-8th grade
